The HEROS (Hockey Education Reaching Out Society) is a registered Canadian charitable organization committed to empowering children through ice hockey. It is administered with the help of external agencies. In Ottawa, it is administered with the help of the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa.

The premise of HEROS is to use the game of hockey as a catalyst to attract youth to a program offering support for education self-esteem building and life skills training.

HEROS is currently active in Vancouver, Sechelt/Gibsons, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Dublin, Ireland and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In Ottawa, HEROS helps the Vanier community with the Club’s Don McGahan Clubhouse.
